Working Principle of UV lamp

Ultraviolet lamps produce 254nm & 185nm UV rays due to low pressure mercury vapor, as fluorescent lamps and energy saving lamps do. The glass of fluorescent and energy saving lamps is regular, from which, the UV rays cannot radiate outside, but absorable to phorsphor then change to visual. Ultraviolet lamps use quartz glass or special glass than UV rays radiate from.

Principle and Characteristic for germicidal function

254nm UV rays is readily absorbable to cell, destroy genome DNA and kill bacteria,

so called Bactericide lamps.

Kill bacteria and virus in a very short time. Physical disinfection, no second-time pollution.

The required irradiation time to inactivate various microorganisms under 30,000 μW/cm2

dose of UV 254nm   99.99% lethal dosage.
